Unfortunately, the day I was in the area it was closed! So, I did get to see the stone lions, but not the reading room which ispictured here. I definitely plan to goback to NYC and I will check the schedule so that I can get inside that famous library!

I think I will start saving personal pictures on Flickr!

se49http://www.blogger.com/profile/06683321829714042368noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-732379935433213592.post-51162426973061365472008-03-11T15:51:00.002-05:002008-03-11T16:07:07.471-05:00Thing 3RSS feeds are a great way to keep up with topics one is interested in without going to each web site. Right now I am signing up for library/media related content, but when I retire I will probably find other feeds that I am interested in. It is a great thing to know about. One of the reasons i signed up for this class is to become a bit more knowledgeable on newer tech tricks.se49http://www.blogger.com/profile/06683321829714042368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-732379935433213592.post-15007809122682240362008-03-04T16:42:00.000-06:002008-03-04T16:52:54.997-06:00Thing 2When I type "Thing 2" I can't help but think of The Cat in the Hat--maybe because I was dressed like "the cat" for Read Across America Day yesterday! But, the Web 2.0 and Library 2.0 discussion is definitely interesting on a totally different level. I agree that all libraries have to keep up with all aspects of technology in order to serve clients. In an elementary school I will not be doing all the things that could be done, and I am not whiz kid at technology, but I do like it and want to be more familiar with what is current in the profession, even though I am retiring at the end of the year! So, even though this is taking more time than I have I am determined to do it!se49http://www.blogger.com/profile/06683321829714042368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-732379935433213592.post-66965368300740695262008-02-08T10:00:00.000-06:002008-02-08T10:04:31.103-06:00nplmc36I am excited to have just created this blog. I didn't think I would ever ever become a blogger, but this was easy. I am looking forward to trying the next 22 "Things on a Stick!"
